![]() “I’m sorry!”
“When you’re wrong, admit it, and when you’re right, shut up!”— AnonymousHave you ever heard the expression “Some things are better left unsaid”? That doesn’t always work. For example, as a small child, did you ever do something that you knew was wrong? Maybe you were sorry for doing it but didn’t know how to tell your parents, so you tried to avoid them. Maybe you ran to your room and hid in the closet. After twenty minutes or so, you realised that no matter how long you hid, you would still have to face your parents. So you walked slowly into their room and mumbled, “I’m sorry.” If you had said it right away, you'd have saved twenty minutes of worrying in that closet! It’s always better to say, “I’m sorry,” than to just think it. Telling someone you’re sorry for your words or actions brings the potential for healing to them, and it also brings closure to you. Telling your family or friends about your feelings is risky, but it’s worth it. Better to be said than sorry! |
