AS 2009 draws to a close, here are 19 of the best tracks of the year from some of the best artists in the world. The lineup is as exciting as the songs themselves.

And so you have favourites like I'm Yours (Jason Mraz), to the smooth Ride It by Indian-born US-based crooner Jay Sean who has been topping the US charts recently. For the hip shakers and the young at heart we have Ville Valo and Natalia Avelon who have made a huge impact with an old 70's classic Summer Wine. The duo has revived the song making it very attractive to a whole new generation of music lovers. Certainly this is some labour in love in which variety is combined to present the listener with something new.

Others on the playlist include Sara Bareilles with Love Song and Seal taking on a cover of Ben. E. King's classic Stand By Me totally revamped with extra punch. There's also John Legend with Everybody Knows and pop princess Lilly Allen with Littlest Things. This year's Best New Artist Grammy Award winner Adele makes her presence felt with Make You Feel My Love from her debut album. The one hour set also includes Estelle feat. Sean Paul, MLTR, Karl Wolf, Jennifer Hudson, KT Tunstall and Michael Bublé. A marvellous primer for those looking out for some real good love songs.
