Valentine's Day
Dress Up

On Valentine’s Day, the most important thing for girls is to stay ultra feminine, fun and flirty. You can look gorgeous in red or pink with these fantastic fashion choices.

Great options in red

  • Choose a dress in red with a simple silhouette. Even if you decide to wear your favorite little black dress instead of a red one, you can add some colour to your look with a red wrap or scarf or shrug. Choose a silk or cashmere scarf in bold fire engine red or deep burgundy.
  • Select a romantic, ruffled red blouse and pair it with everything from a pencil skirt to jeans to black cigarette pants.
  • Make a big statement with a pair of red high heeled pumps and a shiny patent clutch in bold, bright red.

    Forever pink

  • Try on a flirty pink top. You can choose options ranging from baby pink to hot fuchsia. That’s more choices than you can possibly count.
  • A pale pink tunic can be perfectly paired with jeans, a sleeveless fuchsia top looks great paired with gray trousers and a snug sweater.
  • A pink mini-dress or a smart pink sweater or shrug or even a hot pink formal dress can make you dazzle.

For a day time date keep your look very casual
Darker coloured jeans are very in this year. Skinny jeans are still around for those that can’t get enough of the look. Boot-cut jeans are also a good option and look great when worn with a pair of boots.

Jeans can be paired with a flirty camisole. If you want to keep with the Valentine’s Day theme, a red camisole will look totally hot with this outfit. But if you’re determined not to give in to the commercialism of the holiday, any colour that looks great on you will do the trick. Team the camisole with a shrug for a chic look.

Where would a girl be without her handbag? Make sure it’s as smart as your outfit and pick out a special one, not the one you always carry around.

And finally, for a day time date, don’t wear heels. A nice pair of ballet-style shoes will be especially stunning or a pair of glittery flats will also do the trick!

A Valentine’s Day evening date requires you to be a bit more formal and elegant. Putting a dress on is a must but it doesn’t need to be pink or even red. Long black dresses are always a classic but you can also wear a shorter dress that has a cute print on it or is a solid colour with lots of detailing.

If you want to keep colour to a minimum pair a neutral-coloured outfit with red suede ballet skimmers, a Valentine purchase that will last all year (and look especially fresh during the next holiday season).

You also have more freedom of choice when it comes to the proper shoes for an evening date. Heels are usually the preferred choice but if you prefer not to wear heels, or if you are taller than your date, you may want to choose a sophisticated pair of flats. Make sure the handbag is elegant and keeps in theme with the rest of the dress. Pull your hair into an 1/4 puffed updo or away from your face in a half-up, half-down style to show off your face, neck and jewelry.

The best part about these clothing items is that they can be worn all year around, not simply on Valentine's Day. None of these purchases are one-time only. Wear them now, and wear them again and again.

    Hey Boys!
Here’s some cool style tips for a stylish YOU this Valentine’s Day.

For the day: The lanky look is very in right now. Wear skinny jeans or narrow fit jeans. If skinny jeans are not your style, wear anti fit jeans.
Team this with a casual cotton button-down shirt over a Tee. Leave the shirt open and un-tucked. Unbutton and roll the button-down's sleeves to a 3/4 length for a casual vibe.
For a layered look you can also combine a Tee with a hooddie, zippy, blazer or cardigan.
For an evening date, wear narrow fit jeans or trousers with a shirt, a waistcoat and a slim tie.
Make sure to pay attention to the little details. You may not think that things like your hair, cologne, or accessories matter too much, but they really make or break your entire look.
Have your hair trimmed a week before and try styling it a few different ways to see what you like best.
Lightly splash on a favourite cologne.
Accessories that add polish to consider: cufflinks, hats, sunglasses, jewelry (watches etc.) and don't forget the shoes (classic converse sneakers for a casual look and a pair of smart, shined leather shoes for a formal evening date).
