![]() DEEP THOUGHTS
If there is no joy, no enthusiasm, no curiosity, no contentment in your life, have a look in the mirror; you must be a growing old! Growing old is the law of nature that cannot be reversed or compromised, not growing up though! We all grow up learning quantum physics, algebras, sophisticated spacecraft technology and lucrative managerial skills. But we forget the little lessons of beauty, joy, relaxation and recreation. Many of us are at the verge of a break down due to undue pressure and tension. We need to learn to unlearn the tendency to race behind everything that glitters. After all, life isn’t a race that we need to finish off quickly and remain with our hands folded. Most of the time, the lessons that we learned curiously as a young boy or a girl, become obsolete passions that we don’t care any longer once we grow up. The little things around us will not give us any curiosity because we like to call a spade a spade and be done with it. The openness to imbibe new values is no more the motivating factor that determines our inquisitiveness. Prying on superfluous information will only land us in marsh land and reach a point of no return. Let us learn to be mature human beings and grow up relishing every moment of life. — Deepu Paul |
