Beauty in disability Members of the China Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe present the thousand-hand Bodhisattva by hearing impaired performers, in Amman, Jordan. A total of 104 artists, all with hearing, visual or physical impairments, performed an array of songs, dances, dramas and opera acts in the show.

Clear Commute An X-ray image of a bus was displayed in Birmingham, England. Artist Nick Veasey uses a custom-made cargo scanner to capture X-rays of items like a Boeing airplane and even a fruit bat.

Ancient Visitor A 25-foot tall, 7 ton replica statue of the Egyptian god Anubis passes in front of the Statue of Liberty while on a tour of the New York waterways. The statue was announcing the exhibit ‘Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs’ at the Discovery Times Square Exposition. Egypt’s boy pharaoh will be returning back to the city he wowed in 1979, when the exhibit then attracted 1.8 million visitors.
