Water sculpture

Hotel chef Takashi Itoh has hand-carved flowers, figurines and even a portrait of artist Vincent Van Gogh out of watermelons. His favourite sculpture (pictured here) is the Japanese symbol for number 11 represented by a crane and a turtle. This number is regarded as lucky and supposedly brings fortune to those who carve it.
